It's birthday day for Balladeer
And now we are all gathered here
Let's drink a toast to this 'ol' guy
And if you like him, tell him why

He has a way, one of its kind
To bring some laughter to my mind
The words he chooses, flow in rhyme
And always I loose track of time

The victims of his little wits
Were torn to pieces bits by bits
Teasing sailor Long John Ag
With humor and a little nag

And Toereg, well when he's in sight
It is the Deer's full joy and pride
Presenting him like no good at all
Then on the blue pages it is ball

First row seats they are spoken for
Because these games we all adore
Popcorn's flowing forth and back
While eyes follow the hits by Mack

The others hit too, quite well some times
All neatly packed in humorous rhymes
One minor point I must mention here
The popcorn is getting my belly fat Deer

So I blame you for it Balladeer
But still you get some knuffels here
It's been a while so hurry back
Hurray, Hurray for Michael Mack

(Er....65 was it not??? )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MACK

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Well done, Titia!

He is part of the brick and morter here!
Three Cheers, for Balladeer!

Hip hip hooray!
Hip hip hooray!

But don't, please DON'T LIGHT ALL THE CANDLES on that cake! We have enough out-of-control fires here already!!!

Titia darling heart this is absolutely fabulous writing I love it utterly, you’ve given him a fabulous poem which fits him since he is a very special man one of the good and the great.

Once again dear ‘Deer I hope you’ve had a splendiferous birthday, I’ve certainly enjoyed all the poems that I’ve read wishing you a good one. And you KNOW I wish you the very very best.

Beautiful writing Titia really excellent. The time is moving on wonderful isn’t it…… See you soon

65, Titia, my Dutchie pal? 65? LOL! Thanks for taking me to retirement age so easily!

Thanks you for the wonderful poem, Titia, and to all for the gracious responses. Hopefully many more birthdays will be spent right here with my poetic friends...there's no place I'd rather be
