Half remembered near forgotten
Thus the spirit clock moves on
Shrouding pain in coloured cotton
Covering dreams with softest song

Misted warning in the darkness
Held by dreams in half forgot
Alleviate the barren starkness
To move us on in solemn trot

With the warring of remember
Precious thoughts are sometimes hid
By the cooling of December
The road of life shrouds what we did

Yet each day the thoughts persisting
Scramble through our dreaming brain
All The knowledge we're resisting
Can only serve the path of pain

Half remembered near forgotten
Sombre thoughts persist to show
Our regret is misbegotten
If we don't know, what we don't know

Please don't struggle with the mem'ry
It's better left to die and rot
It will rasp like corded emery
The future's here, the past is not

So use it up, the coloured cotton
Shroud it round those memories tight
For the past should be forgotten
And we should not dwell in the night.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

(big hugggssssss) Oh Kethry, such wonderful wisdom fills your words sweet friend, though tears still fill me from when I was a little boy I too decide to look on always for I know somehow I will feel like that happy boy I always wanted to be! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Keth beloved heart when you write like this I swear the pages actually sigh with each breathe I take. I can feel the poem, feel each breath of this, the fighting of a memory that needs to wrapped and kept away less it hurt the soul.

Somewhere in time there waits a sigh
Waiting softly for its last goodbye
The heart that sits and watches silently
Wishes for a vision with some clarity
But while heart’s memory lingers on
There’s no chance of hearing love’s sweet song
The memory keeps you locked inside
And your heart seeks a place to hide
Open your soul let the memory fade
And you’ll walk in sunshine not in shade

I love this utterly utterly utterly as always YOUR writing is simply perfect

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

And in your poetic way...it is such a gift..

Thanx...

You wrap your wisdom in perfect cadence and clever poetic phrasing and analogy...and it leaves the reader with much to ponder and a lasting impression. Love the vocab in this too poetess Kethry-girl

If all the tear drops went to heaven
And if all the pain was confined ...
Would I be your salvation
could I make your spirit shine.
