Written, engraved, ingrained, a stone epitaph
crying the tear of eternity.   Memories of stark
remember, a moment when souls were shaken
and touched by time’s merciless progression.

Even for those where time has only trod ever
lightly, gently, slightly upon a small soul.

Come, walk this path my child.  Let my hands
hold the tremble of your heart.  Guided by wisdom,
by compassion born of feelings from yet other
years, where time walked gingerly.

Lambs, small and frail, whitest wool still growing
daily in wait of the moment of shearing, when the
lamb becomes more than just a child.

Shear not the lamb yet still a child.   Allow the
fleece to flourish and grow.   And till the wool
does come to bear,   stroke the arch of back,
the tip of smile, and let the lamb become yet
more than just a lamb, a newborn child....

Below the stone of granite grey, lies a lamb
taken suddenly from...  Lies a mind yet running free,
running wild....Lies the soul of yet.....

another child....

Thanx Sy....I cannot say exactly where I was
heading when I decided to write this poem,
but must have been into blindness or some
other place....

This poor poem sounds so lost,
and as a mother, I would gather it in...
but the wisp of it fails to allow me
to grasp it close...

a tender piece, this...

(BIG HUGGGSSSSSSS) Oh Barry, I think this is your best poem yet to me, this had me thinking of Jesus and how with the power of penitence He will groom all us sheep in the sheepcote of life of dirt and help us to maintain our white coats as it is up to us to remian purified as possible! (sigh) May we always softly care for the sheep, that innocent child in our hearts and let that loving spirit guide us everywhere, amen, God Bless You, I'm adding this to my library, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

You must know how this touched me today, as I was traveling in backward, cleaning out yesterday when stoped by a child's hand.

Martie....

OH gosh,  I forgot about your child that you
had lost....and the memories that this write
obviously stirred somewhat...  I was
compelled to write this after all of the
children that have been missing recently...

That...and all of the incidents of sexual
abuse of children within the Clergy....

This was also about allowing them to grow,
to become the child that they should be...
about respecting them, their needs...and
about my granddaughter Nikki as well....

So,  this touched a lot of thoughts when I
wrote it...bringing out my own emotions as
well....

HUGS,  big big HUGS....

Barry
