'Twas But A Whisper
~*Marge Tindal*~

'Twas but a whisper
this death after life
Silence lends no voice
to breath in deny~

Life's challenge thus met
laid down with a sigh
'Twas but a whisper
of soft-said goodbye~

Now...you know how I like whispers...
I heard this one through all
of the clamoring...

Karilea
If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound

Marge... This is another masterpiece from you.
When reading the second stanza I could picture a wise old person bidding their final farewell in a whisper to loved one's after having achieved all their goals in life, happy and content to pass on to the final resting place on the other side of the river of life... Paul

Marge ~~ This touched my heart and soul with a whisper of love from you.

This is how death should be spoken; soft and gently as we pass to another place and time.

Just magnificent...Hugs, Marti

A whisper heard....held within our hearts
till our own falls upon the ears of those

Beautifully presented, and beautifully composed Marge. I loved the phrasing and the "feel" that you captured in this piece. Much enjoyed, my friend!

Best wishes,

*Friends~
I know not from where it came
nor to whom it is meant to wing~

That it touched each of you with feeling,
tells me that it was meant to be here~

... the woods gave up another whisper~

Thank you all~

it may have been a whisper
this breath of last goodbye
but I'm sure the angels heard it
with wing tips lifted high

it may have been a whisper
the final calling out
but for all the power this held
it could have been a shout.

Achingly beautiful Marge.

PoetFriends~
Again I take pause to thank you all~

Kethry~
That may be the most beautiful poetic reply I've ever received~
You know ... you zeroed in on a thought that has hovered with me all day .....
life shouts us ... and we are blessed with the spotlight
Then death takes us quietly backstage for the final curtain call~

What you wrote is just beautiful~
And I so graciously thank you, my friend~

Margie darling heart sister YOU really do write the most captivatingly beautiful whispers of heart. This is I think so peaceful so soothing, we know that life clamours in our ears, and to feel the peace of OUR LORD descend in the quite moment of our passing must be so beautiful. This absolutely perfect poem simply passes that beauty to those who are left behind, when it comes to our time, we may be ready and we may not, but I believe that once we pass into his hands we discover that is where we were always meant to be. Rather like coming home. Only HE knows when that time should be, and we should, I believe, squeeze every drop of living out of the time we are blessed with, neither hurry to meet our time nor try to hold it back, but live to the full, and then cede to HIS will.

Truly exquisite writing darling heart there is within your soul so much beauty and so much life that I shouldn’t be surprised at how it spills out to grace the pages with it’s wisdom. But somehow I always am, because it exceeds my expectations always. Truly wonderful writing. And yes darling heart again I’ve done it my reply is longer than the poem, but as always I had nothing to say and have now said it

PiPITIS …….. closer and closer I’m so excited

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire
