It Was All Of That

A liquid light moment
That’s what she called it
That breathless gasp
That slip of sublime rhyme
Oh yes it was that
It was all of that

The diving into
The pool of your tomorrows
While bidding a fond
Farewell to yesterdays
That first taste
First touch of magic
That flows
Simply flows past
The stream of
What is
To what will be

She said it was a
Kite flying moment
Where the
Being that was more
Than some sticks and paper
Flew and cavorted
With the air
Dancing prancing
Flirting and almost singing
Springing into the sky
As it flew wild and free
Only tethered to the
Ground by a slender
Cord of aspiration

It was that
Oh yes it was all of that
A kite flying
Heart stopping
Breathtaking
Moment
Of such incredible
And sweet
Surprise

It was that
Oh yes much more than that

And while thy willing soul transpiers
at every pore with instant fires

For all of this,
to come from all of that!
Who inspired you, Krissy...

I fear my view of such moments is through my rear view mirror... but I read your words and remember and a smile involuntarily lights my face. *S* This is wonderful, Krissy... I like it very much!

Such a moment of poetic paradise
you write of, krissy.  And what was
special about this:  you told of feelings
so well, sweet friend, without the banality
of detail of 'what the moment was.'

You are getting there, into the realms of
making the reader reach themselves,
which is what a good poet should do,
instead of 'telling' them everything!

I am duly impressed!
Be well, and love on your siblings and Mom
once in a great while  *smile*

Beautiful, lyrical, playful, sweet...Yes it was "all of that"

(Tell your Mom, that you are already a poet, then thank her)

I hope that this (lovely vein) continues for you.

In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward".

Krissy - I loved the lightness of being in this poem. Well done. Chris
