Here's something I wrote about a friend that's been here for me from day one. Who's never turned her back during my bad decisions or absence of appreciation. My hope is through this vector of mine, all who read, will be inspired in someway positive. On to my write...

You keep me cool Summer

Lost with presence of complexities inhaled,
tossing in ocean waves, memoirs of our friendship.
To which area of my heart do the deservedness
Of your pure heavenly smiles I’ve coveted fall?
For with every ray of sunshine which grace each day,
Your artless kindness dwells in my valley of appreciation.
Finding the truth, which like apple seeds I’ve avoided.
These truths about you today shine, blinding congeniality,
And now oh caramel girl I express this depth
Of gratitude. My every moonlit wish and prayer,
Some how always now includes you.
Now my eyes gutter to my chin,
For tis’ you, I’ve taken for granted these effortless years,
In a prism of selfish seeking, glamorized I was.
When in the end, who would figure, the silhouette I ran to,
Was you. For comfort you stand sure as my friend.
Tis’ all this which erupts within my soul with aching desire,
Nurtured by guilt, today to let you know,
I would take my finger tips and touch the dew drops
of happiness, then smear with it a smile on your face.
I would eat the sun for the warmth and wipe my lips
with the clouds, just to be the sunrise for your tomorrow.
I would peal through the ocean’s depths
to find your forsaken wish, with no battle of function.
I would fetch all the butterflies in the world, squeeze them
into my heart, and then we’d fly away to yesterday’s future.
I would count the stars in the heavens twelve times over,
If on me it would make you count, again.
I would stand on the horizon’s edge catching the wind,
if our friendship a true second chance you’d give.
Now softly I’ll show the care that has always existed within,
Take you on a 12th hour journey to forever,
Into my palace of dreams and stories, which
now I realize, are to be shared with you. Summer.
