“ONCE I LOVED YOU” by Bill Charles ~~~~ It’s difficult to write from my heart, about love that’s suddenly blurry… It seems like it’ll be over soon, something that should never be… I always loved your smile, your eyes, the silliness of your little pout… To feel your hair through my fingers, they would all tingle throughout… This emotional being was just for you, I wonder where it could have gone… It just seemed to slowly disappear, as I lied awake from dusk until dawn… My feelings come from deep within, I really didn’t know of yours actually… Not sure why it’s happening this way, for once I loved you, with all of me… ~~~~ |

I once thought, Bill, that with love, all things are possible. But not all loves can work as one and they seem at times to work against each other, to achieve some purpose. There may be no right or wrong in that: it simply is what it is. But no one can take from us, the sweet memories of a Love that Once Was. My throat caught a bit, when i read this, Bill. As always, you seem to capture the moment with expert voice. jeff |

Bill Love stays, even when it is gone...it lives still in the chambers it made within, and still left room to feel again, new love. This is such a poignant poem. |
