Unshod

walkin’ around with my feet hangin’ out
such a “free to be me” feel

well actually sittin’
cuz when I get up an’ walk,
it’s a whole diff’rent animal

‘ceptin’ when I get to tread
in weed-and-rock-free grasses
up to my
ankles

or traipse across cool sands
headin’ for a game o’ tag
with Pacific’s charms

yep, sittin’ here, wigglin’ my toes in the air
from my chair
I can imagine all kinds of ‘foot play’

nothin’ finer
either
than aired-out toes
and soles

wanna play some toe tag?
oooh, that sounds morose
maybe better call it ‘toe war’
ya know, like a ‘thumb war’

unshod feet
let me repeat
unshod feet is a freedom
that’s replete
with the joy bubble-blowing
feather floating
rainbow toting play

I don't know how I managed to miss this one, Virginia...
It is a beautiful write...and I especially loved the dialect...
For the record, I never wear shoes unless I am forced to...

(smiles) Yay!!! Awwwwwww, I just love, sweet friend, this made me feel like a little boy again blowing bubbles happily! I too wish I could walk barefoot everything I went just as even in the winter I never enjoy wearing pants because they can get uncomfortable so I wear shorts! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!
