Countrified American Pride

"Thats just what I do when I can't get no lovin"
Man, did they go nuts on that song
cuz you know when Trick Ponies singing
You can't help but singing along.

Chris Kegle was singing a song
talk about an old memory
Dobie Gray and "driftin away"
but now included, a verse on the great #3.

Gary Allen knew that he was
"right were he belonged"
with the audience on their feet
dancing to their favorite song.

Dwight Yokum was shining on stage
all were tappin their feet
he was singing and swaying those hips
no one was left in their seat.

Then came the Red, White and Blue
and a roar rose up from the crowd
sung "Only In America"
once again, America was standing proud.

They called it the Neon Circus
it was a country menagerie
filled with American Pride
proud to be in the home of the free.

Ronnie Dunn suddenly stopped and said
"this guy wants to take my freedom away"
and a hush then fell over the crowd.......
the words said.......GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!

somebody tell me, please help me....
understand.......(as sung by Trace Adkins)

Karilea it was so great to be in that atmosphere where everyone was remembered,
no one was forgotten, pride was strong
and it was just great.

fantastic play-by-play highlights, well done and an exciting event

BRAVO!!! Oh Donna, this is just beautiful, I love country music in the most part for their music is always so patriotic, I love Gary Allen and many others, I even respect Toby Keith, whose song was denied by Peter Jennings and how he perserveres to portray American pride! (kiss on cheek) This sounds like one wonderful concert, sweet friend, God Bless You and the U.S.A, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

When I saw the title I knew I would love this but I had no idea how much. This is a wonderful tribute to some very talented people.  It sounds like a great show and that all had a great time.
*chuckling and agrees with Noah*

This must have been quite an experience this it was quite a poem. Great writing.

God Bless the USA. I can't believe the anniversary of 9/11 is right around the corner.
