would growth be a total secret
we would not be told
that chances in life are taken
in time, among places..we ask: why are we here?
where will we be when the old part dies
what does it mean when the stomach has flies?

what does it mean to be away from home
to stare uo into deep universal domes
to try our luck at lady chance
beat danger at a moments glance

to run after models we idolize as kids
to hunt for snacks under cookie jar lids
did you savour the quest for the mid-day feast
were you a tyrant kid and a neighbourbood beast?

or did you play Potter with a famous scar
whose message of brightness was carried worlds afar,
growth is hardly a secret, it has its mode,
our peers warn us of trendy behaviour codes.

growth is less a secret,
it's more a well thought plan
schemes of ventilated themes, vortexed by fans
aired along prairie stretches that now see drought
where precious water issues from spouts,
circulated along ivy labaryrinths of cues to follow
along cultivated seeded lands which were once fallow.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Martin, this is so very sad but true, it is saddening to see many things we fantasize as children become so untrue as we grow older. My teacher Mr. Ernewein said when he was a little boy he wanted to move to America so much because he thought Tonto and the Lone Ranger were real and he wanted to meet cowboys and indians but when he came there he felt broken-hearted for a while when he found out. (sigh) This is powerfully said, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
