Bursting With Colour

Like my garden, today
I am bursting with colour.

The  blush of me, feverishly
searching a new path
to wipe out the grays of yesteryear.

Passing through each second of time,
in quiet passion's remembrance,
I stir the rose that coats,
a painting genuinely modest
as your words decree
judgement of me.

You rule me dark, though,
a complexion churning into nightfall
as semi-shades of dusk
overshadow the teal of choice
that always clothes this body,
now wrapped in funerary black.

I am caged in the process, stained
by the touch, tranquility in the wait
as the concrete settles in
and the tears run dry, left again
on a path to nowhere.

I am a dedication to all those
who desire, yet never receive,
with colours fading unless harvested
when the time is ripe.

I am a stone's throw away,
on a cloudless day, the heat
damning my innocence,
thoughts tormenting the quietness,
as misfortune plays its game
of give and take, the more of take
than of what is shared.

Temptation aside,
I am overrun with thoughts,
the hazel of mine, looking into
the imagined blue of yours,
wondering if there is truth to be seen.

Just another rollercoaster day,
producing words once mind trapped,
now wild on the run, trying
to breathe life into me
for yet another day.

M

Thank you...in some it is buried, at least temporarily, hopefully.

Maureen darling heart and keeper of the moons kiss this is truly beautiful the flow of words down the page is as smooth as water flowing in a crystal stream. As I’ve said countless time and will say countless more YOU are talented, and gifted. That you share your gift so freely is wonderful, that you display your heart so perfectly is something that I really am thank for. Wonderful writing absolutely wonderful writing. I love it utterly utterly utterly.

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire
