Once Upon A Time

There was a girl
I wanted to be mine.
So we got together
and had a wonderful time
once upon a time.
One day she told me
she was going away.
I told her how much
I loved her and begged
her to "please stay"
once upon a time.
She didn't go away.
She decided it was
best to stay and we're
very much in love today.
Perhaps she'll take the
time to always be mine
and our love will live
in our hearts forever
and not just once
upon a time.
