One Lonely Night

Once upon a midnight thunder,
Half asleep and mind in wonder.
Charisma paint the night in rain,
Rivulets on my window pane.

Pirouettes fell the dark of sky,
Plump and pure in crystals fly.
Flamboyant in a winds display,
As graceful as a played ballet.

Ancient oceans lifted waters,
Played upon an earthly daughter.
Hypnotic patters wheel in grace,
Covered the land, mantilla lace.

Symphonic notes in bristly wonder.
Magic strikes of light and thunder
Mingled in my minds refrain.
And purged it with the clean of rain.

And half a smile lit my face.
As blanket warmth held me in place.

Soft I plinked the melody
Of night’s refrain and you, and me

Sy,  it is quiet here...cool,  with barely
a breeze...yet I feel the patter of rain
upon my mind's roof....and smell the
freshness of the cleansed air...through your
words... Good Morning...

My master artist of imagery...this is the reason for poetry...How lovely is this...

Pirouettes fell the dark of sky,
Plump and pure in crystals fly.

How poetically pretty. You are as consistantly impressive in your verse as is the rain.
Thru an artists and poets eye you give us the view of you in rhymed hue.

Ancient oceans lifted waters,
Played upon an earthly daughter.
Hypnotic patters wheel in grace,
Covered the land, mantilla lace.

and how cool can one verse be anyway

Ancient oceans lifted waters

that line alone is worth its weight in poetic gold...
but then so it the poet that wrote it.
Beautiful write of rain on the pane Stinkylove.
*ww*

If all the tear drops went to heaven
And if all the pain was confined ...
Would I be your salvation
could I make your spirit shine.

JM,
If the poem is pleasing your comments are even more pleasing. All you write is a delight and makes my day a butterflies flight
And Randy winks at me to fly and spend a wile with you this day. Winkiewinkie Randy Stinky.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Seymour, this is beautiful with a soft yearning, I love it! (smiles) I understand how you feel because I yearn for my sweetheart Joanna so much and I cry missing her before bed yet in my dreams the blanket almost makes me feel her gentle touch! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Not only do I envy your poetic talent, I must envy you your blanket! LOL I had to crawl out and come to work through such a storm... and believe me, I'd rather read about it! LOL

This is superb, Seymour. *S*

Wonderfully lilting with a cozy message. There really is comfort in a gentle rain and a warm blanket.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
