Between the Lines

Forgive Me These Words

I press my thoughts, between the lines,
throat taut from those, desires rise.
In swallowing, I think of then,
my look of your look, eyes to eyes.

Each day that passes, leaves me more,
a creator's bed of rose, adorned.
I reach to hold the velvet tint,
the soft of once upon, now mourned.

I miss you most, when two days by
when words of none are silent read.
I whisper self, to quote what was
to understand, this mine of need.

Backwards nonsense, words to flow
from fingertips, from lips that kiss
upon your reason, Wyntered I,
in always loving, reminisce.

You must forgive these words I write,
a spirit in me can't resist.
Always, never ending thoughts,
rise from naked to exist.

They clothe you with whatever lets,
for you the buyer of my wares.
Each yearning's taste, each breath I breathe,
becomes the form of which we share.

Why do I risk this part of me,
why do I care, in trust of feel?
What matters most is friendship's hand
where shadows lie, tattooed in real.

You must forgive these words I pen,
the conquest of, belief in you.
Where is the joy, in silent love
when wrapped in eyes, the still of blue?

The scent of August rushes by,
the harsh of heat lays down its cloak.
Unmoved am I, before your feet
in mornings wake, each rhythm's stroke.

Tomorrow I shall lace the day
in treasured words, these eyes to view.
You must forgive my mooning thoughts
that lay in wait, the rise of you.

Interesting format with a tempo so unique and honest. Very impressive write.
The struggles are never easy to verbalize.

Maureen darling heart this is utterly utterly splendid, sometimes your writing is simply so good it leaves me with nothing to say. I’m literally speechless, and this is one of those times. It is extraordinarily good, the rhyme utterly utterly perfect the flow and the internal construction without par. You know I love it, it is stunningly well written, beautiful work darling heart absolutely beautiful

Oh, you know how this affects me. I wish I could have written and sent it to "him"
this line:
"the soft of once upon, now mourned."
Love it, along with all the rest.
