In solitude this Alpha male, broad of chest and destined trail
Omega stilled, in quest to quell, the roaming drive ambitions male

The Alpha stands in wait of one, where least and most of sweet converge
A pair now joined in strident run, a coupling made in darkness merge

A frosted breath in ghostly gaze, where water swells the air in glaze
As playful nips of scimmage wage, together mark of hungers haze

Fortells the strength of their desire, where dusky time paws domicile
Of snarls exuding passion's fire, two unified, these hearts beguile

Until the male procures his kill, where points the sting of icy wind
To guardian home and ward off chill, paired leaves in winter's sleep recind

The courtship thrives in separate ways, wild hunger eased to satiate
And then in faith and strength he stays, Omega joins her soulful mate

Greetings Fellow Poets:
Thank you to all that stop by to read this work.
I must tell you that it stretched many miles, and many revisions...a true test of poetic fortitude and friendship.

Thank you Magnus, for allowing me to develop not only the art form, but the art of gentle negotiation.  In your honor. ThisDiamond

The art of gentle negotiation?

Now just a second my dear....Should I spill
the beans on you and tell them how you
made me do this your way.....and how I was
threatened to be whipped at the post a
hundred times if you didn't get your lines
in like you wanted them...

You're right....it was gentle negotiation,
compared to being run over by an M1 Abrams
Tank!!!!!

So,  there!!  (Magnus exits stage right,
knowing he has gotten in the last word
against a knowinly meek and timid opponent
who never questions a male's authority or
position in life/wolf den, etc....)

Paul,  I said those things just to get a
smile from Kathy,  she is a gracious lady
with a warm heart and very easy to work with
no matter what I said....  Thank You...

Sun,  she has to take the credit....I tried
hard to screw it up a few times,  but she
insisted on a certain level of professionalism.....

And,  it went fairly well....  She got
started on the wolf thought after I gave her
a tidbit to think of....and we carried it
from that to what you see...

Amazing what a small inspiration can bring
forth....But,  YOU surely know nothing about
things like that HA!....

Hmmm...me thinks the prince of poetry needs a bit of fruit with that wine...
per chance a raspberry?

Nice try Mag...everybody knows that inspiration doesn't just grow on wolfbane...
Thank you for your unending patience, high standards and absolute gift of write.
