I missed my 5000th post...it was 4976 just a moment ago, and now, in reply to "Your Key" it was 5052. Darn!!! So to commiserate, here's an unfinished poem, unless I'm able to tack on an ending in the moments here: make lazy, fat birds, when we hang thistle seeds from the eave? or do their wings flap in rapid enough succession to cause the consumption of calories galore resulting a slimness to their svelte selves evermore? can we get the skinny on this fat chance? ©August 10, 2002 yep, finished, 'cept a title, how about "Fat Chance" oh, I'm such a bird-brain Whether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore. Not a bird brain at all.....what counts is that you are here and sharing and that makes it more special knowing that you can get lost in the poetry that way. Maybe a better reflection of celebration after all. Btw...I think "Fat Chance" would make a great title for this one. Congrats on the 5000 plus and smiles for knowing you enjoyed the poetry in here enough to get lost in 40 plus moments before realizing. |
