He woke up this morning,
His eyes were cherry red,
His back was really aching,
(Last night he missed the bed)

It's just the morning after,
One drunken Balladeer,
He ate a slice of that cold pizza,
And washed it down with warm beer.

It was his birthday party,
He was dancing to the twist,
Singing "Midnight Train To Georgia"
With Gladys and the Pips.

Larry C then asked him:
"Just how old are you?"
Balladeer replied and sighed:
"I just turned sixty two."

Then Balladeer stared at his lap,
Thinking what it "once could do"
Said: "If you were only still alive,
You'd too be sixty two!"

I happen to have amazing healing properties!

but alas, it does require the laying on of hands, and tsk--I'm a married lady now.

From now on? it's by appointment only!

ROFL...too cute of you, with a happy birthday to the Balladeer!

The older we get, the less fun we have... and the harder it is to recover from it. LOL

I love this, Toe... *G* And all things considered, I'll send a sympathy card to Fran along with my birthday greetings for Bal. *G*

An early wish to Balladeer!
We'll party the whole week long!
One thing sure that brings us cheer
is that HERE is where he belongs!

Happy [early] Birthday!

Toe darling boy this is wonderful a fabulous little early birthday rhyme for ‘Deer. I would add something saucy but I’d get a slapped wrist, so I’ll just say a simple Happy birthday dear ‘Deer

I love this poem darling boy, even if I’m being incredibly good by not letting any of a dozen comments flow from my pen. It is wonderful. And brought a big grin

Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Sounds like yet another volley has been fired in the never-ending saga
I await the return volley with keen anticipation!

This is so cute, Mr.Toe...
Somehow, you get away with being naughty when the rest of us don't!  But its okay because you're cute...

Happy 62nd birthday, Michael....
I'm soooooo glad that someone here is older than I am.

YAY!!! Happy Early Birthday Balladeer! (they call it "unbirthday" in Alice in Wonderland so let's get the Mad Hatter over here! LOL! ) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Toerag, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Toerag, you are an evil man. My birthday....and you choose to besmirch it with your vile words. Is there no end to your maliciousness? Not only do you insult my manhood...you convince Madame Chipmunk I'm really 62!!

I'm proud of ya, you old dog...this was a good one. Perhaps I'll find a way to repay you one day.....

Toe,  this deserves a bump back to the top.

Poor 'Deer.....I didn't know he was THAT OLD

Funny thing is,  I'll bet he is cookin' up
a little tidbit for you....Surely he won't
let you/us down....even though something
is letting him down....or is it?

Deer One, I tried to tell him he had the age wrong. *nodding earnestly and emphatically* But I couldn't persuade him that the 6 needs to be turned upside down into a 9???? LOL I sure hope you weren't planning to let this birthday slide by unnoticed... ain't gonna happen. *G*

So there's a question of his age?
The matter is quite moot
For our Balladeer (the sage)
Is awfully darn cute! *G*

Toe,
There is more mischief in you then Puck. I'm sure Balladeer will take the 62 and twist it back on you. And I'll be watching. LOL enjoyed.
