If only it would do something
other than this rain...

Perhaps.....a fluttery burst
of lacy snowflakes
falling in
~~heavenly~~
spirals ,floating
dreamily in
slow motion
to a white diamond earth,
or the pinging of hail
upon a
red wood deck
surrounded by
oak and pines.

Or even if it were
a cauldron of fog
rising up from
the valley floor
like some eerie
witches brew
on Halloween.

Anything but this
pounding ,drumming
incessant thrumming
drip, drip drone...
a torrential downpour
from dark angry clouds
with an attitude
obscuring
my lovely
view of the sea

This dreary rain
Just keeps on
reminding me
far,too much
of you and I.
An older poem that I wrote
a couple of years ago....

Poetry is:
Passion, imagination and intellect running together.

Aloha with warmest regards, Cheryl Stewart Koomoa

This is the very thing that makes the Gulf coast people look forward to Hurrican Season.
We KNOW that change is on the way.

Love this.

and OH.

gulf coast people?

Please send some rain this way, it appears you have too much. :-) Enjoyed.

There are a million messages,
in a million bottles,
you just have to know
which one to pull out of the ocean.

raindrops are days of lives
some splash loud and blend
some are obsorbed quietly
some are just lovers eyes
on our skin exploring secrets.

a pleasure to read you here

We have been in drought so long
the earth's cracks
need filling
today it rains

today is baptismal day....

smiles...I think that I meant for the poem to reflect the arguing  going on in a relationship between 2 people...LOL The rain was just constantly hitting something and annoying to hear that drip just like the sound of the nagging going on..hehehe
I am thankful for rain and thankful for all of you who responded to this silly poem with such graciousness..I suppose this shows me just how silly it really is...
and hey! get some rain where you are at and find some fun indoor things to be preoccupied with
hugs to all, Cher

Thank you Noah...yes things are much better now in my life. smiles..
Paul: Yes I see you got the metaphor and understand the meaning of this poem...I think this happens all too frequently between people..Maybe they might stop and think if they read this...I so apprecitate you, my friend, for stopping and commenting. You always say the nicest things.
