One grain of sand at a time cemented in adhesion
Slowly reaching up in nature’s ambition
In one’s lifetime a mole hill on flat land

The winds of time resist the move upward
But the grains still come together
Much like the seconds that record histories

The climb continues as an ant hill amasses
The infancy of time cradles its existence
Gaining mass in a unique existence

Man has evolved into a thinking machine
Whose universe looks over limited areas
As the mound intertwines in its struggles

In a man’s leap into the oceans new worlds are formed
The hill reaches up into the heavens
Giving shelter to all the living things that claim it

Explorers find a steep incline
Going into a view of the terrain
Where the magic can be seen

In a spell of broken vows
The land is plowed down
From its virgin height

In the injury of it pride
It erupts in desperate plea
Spewing into a lava flow

So man has to step aside
For destiny has to be built
In the mountains of tomorrow

Thought: Man’s power builds in each generation but it will never out grow nature magnificence.

I will not be posting as much as normal to see the complete set of poems email me to get on a distribution list. If enough requests are made from this list, I will then post that poem here. To get on this list email me at davelyoung1@hotmail.com. Thanks and blessings from a dreamer that hope to make a difference to a reader someday.

I write so much that I do not want to overburden a site with too many of my writings. Your writing is important as mine so it should also have its space.

I must echo that thought. . . there's more beauty in a drop of rain than in the highest skyscraper. . .

well done. . .
