          In Times Like This

I love you, in times like this
Calling to you with a silent voice
Further and further, I miss your kiss
Longer and longer, my cry won't dry

I promise to forsake all others in pure devotion
to read your sorrows with a soft understanding
Believe in tomorrow, in romantic notions
Come to me like prayer, a bath of pandering

Fear is overcome and a thing of the past
We'll pull the blankets in tents over heads
giggle and hug like lost lovers do
waiting on thresholds where two souls are wed

ShadowRider...This is lovely verse.

There are a million messages,
in a million bottles,
you just have to know
which one to pull out of the ocean.

Jeff darling heart this is simply exquisite Your writing like a rose captured in it’s peak of perfection is truly a delight to see and witness. I try to understand the message, but even if I didn’t and I do feel it deep in my soul, the images your words conjure adorn the page and are breathtakingly lovely. YOU have to know I love this.

I could write you a sonnet to say I really love this but whatever I wrote simply wouldn’t do your writing justice. There are poets and then there are Poets You know you are a real writer, it is not just pretty words with you this is super special. YOU stand out as a writer who has depth of understanding, whose writing simply sings to my soul. This is stunning darling heart utterly utterly stunning

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Jeff,  you amaze me with the beauty of your
thoughts,  the images of love and the
honest expression of what love means to you.

Thank You...

Jeff

Jeff...tender and childlike, and full of love's honesty.  This poem should be treasured for years, to bring out when the road gets a bit narrow.

Absolutely beautiful writing.  Well done.

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.

I set my sights on happiness a few years back. It hasn't been an easy road there, but i think i have reached the driveway!

Y'all are too kind.  *smiles*
Wishing you all the joy in the world!

Sounds to me as if life's journey is just beginning for you.  Such words of devotion in rare honesty and self openness are found all over this piece.  Wonderful to read one with his heart on his sleeve and not shy about it one bit.
