             Liquid Dreams

Liquid are the dreams that romp within sapphire swirls
Surging diamond playgrounds atop cotton candy curls
Fantasies teeter on edges of merry go round harmony
As romance totters between sunrise lyrics ... yet to be

Sandy beach of buckets that empty on my toes
Seaweed scent of air and sun tan cream to skin exposed
Eyes closed the crash of mystery and majesty abound
In swirl of timeless sigh hand in hand a lover's sound

Diamond grains smile in cradles to soft forms of delight
Found engulfed between the desires of the sun at midnight
Riptides tease in undercurrents of waterslides in massage
Spilling whispers of enchantment adorned in kelp corsage

See how steps the seagull now in sandy look for food
crossing the clean washed place where you and I once stood
the time when you were just a lad with sunlight in your eyes
and I was deep in heat of time for singing lullabies.

I know you said you saw me out there walking on the pier
My eyes the color of the tide that played within your ears
You brushed by me in tender barefoot time so long ago
And left a heart's impression on the sands off Coronado

Mirrored memories giggle in glance of tomorrows meet
Between blush of rising tide reflected in face to face feet
Listen now to mood of tunes in the dolphin's serenade
Singing embrace of promises two souls on this day made

Well lets talk about imagery overload!!
This is so full of surf, sand, and sun me thinks Im even getting a tan
You guys I love this poetic dueting of rhyme divine...any time we get Martie to rhyme is a treat. This was a pleasure to read aloud...it had harmony of verse and harmony of poetic inspire. A beautiful mix of imagery, personification and kismet kissed with serendipity.
If a moth begs for more duets..will she get her way?
Superb seascape poetic portrait from 2 of my most fave poets. How can it not be poetry in motion.

If all the tear drops went to heaven
And if all the pain was confined ...
Would I be your salvation
could I make your spirit shine.

Sy-I think she is the natural...I had to actually think to write with her.  Thank you kind sir.

Enchantress-No end to good poetry ever as long as there are thoughts and good ink to pen them.  Does that qualify for a group hug? LOL

Soleil Noir-Thank you for the kudos and the kind comments and she is indeed a special woman not to mention remarkable.

Sunshine-Tis both and neither ...... tis only thoughts of two wrap in one robe understand....... tis the nature of duets and the beauty of 17 words taken to the next lap in a baton changed hands.   Thanks much....glad you enjoyed it.

JM-Did ya know that she can rhyme whenever she wants to ....... she just likes to make us beg for it. LOL  Imagine that.   You know that when ya talk imagery to me that I get sort of a tingle and being able to match imagery with one of the best for me is like a tangle of tingles to fall in dream with at night.  Thanks sweetness.  As for getting your way.........well, we will just have to see now won't we?

Goodknight-Again I say, I am glad that you enjoyed the imagery and as for doing more.........count on it.

Magnus-It is I and I am sure Martie that will thank you for you kind words and I do thank you sir.

Martie-You know how special of a gift it is for me to be able to share pens with you at any time and I must say that this time was no different.  Thank you for the honor and for the recall of memories from which we both shared the same wood on that pier.  Life has a funny way of bringing simple glances of brush by chance into lifetime treasures to cherish deep.  I thank you once again.  Love ya my friend.

(smiles) Awwwwwwwww, oh my gosh, I love this, sweet friends, this is breathtakingly beautiful, you two never fail to bring magic to these pages and make liquid daydreams come alive, this is breathtaking! I really enjoy a duet that mingles thought, fancy, whim, feeling, imagery and so much more in element of poetic art.

The rhyme feels interlocked. The scenery cascades eloquently..all in all a truly refreshing swirl. Bravo..Brava..

Reg
