Days patterned shade, spins greyish blue
darting in and out of night,
where mountains vigil pastures new-
and haze dissolves from dark to light;
eyes joined to sky I cannot blink
animated doorways shrink:

¤

With key in lock, I throw my stake
vibrating rust one click and in,
but which opening must I take?
direction lost, but I begin
to slice the mask from threadbare dreams
nothing here is what it seems:

¤

Each step I take is one more leap
giant jumps in puddles clean,
the water pulls my troubles deep
I’m losing track of what I’ve seen;
four corners swell, pulsating sting
no antidote your kisses bring:

¤

Poison seeps and peels the pain
shed my skin, stand naked, being
I gasp to find I breathe again
and fall within the sun, all seeing;
Rainbows soak my veins anew
days patterned shade, spins greyish blue:

Samantha
I tried to pick the one I liked best but could not. They are all excellent.

Hope here. Discerning clearly the answers we seek sends us round......to us. The antidote to the haze, it's darker shades, soften in the catharsis of our pain and is often the cruel poison which frees us to start from scratch. Enjoyed and needed.

I think captivating is the word I'm looking for~
