The sun’s not out, behind a cloud
Between the heavens and the earth
Seemingly wearing velvet shroud
Bearing a child in Heaven's birth.

The sky has cast a darkness here
as we watch in wait of a ray.
Not to cry or to ever fear
for yet again there will be day.

Where is the light that brightens me
and brings to my heart inner peace?
Where is the ball I wait to see
before the day has come to cease?

I shall wish upon all the stars
that shine the heavens ever bright.
From the cosmos and back to Mars,
in wait of this one guiding light.

This sun has rose a thousand times
and more to grace the earth's skin
I wish to say through all these rhymes
I am waiting, watching for then.

I can relate to this my fellow Carolinian, for the sun has yet to appear today. Very nice write, as always. You amaze me.

O'er the plains have I been cast
and burn the ground so white
and though the clouds now hinder me
t'ward you I'll cast some light

This is the time of summer sun
I'm wanted, and I'm not
soon winter shall chill the likes of all
and my warmth will be forgot

Soon I'll burn the clouds to fade
and merry shall all play
till the dark of night invades
and bids me go away

but on the morn, the red-streaked morn
I'll come again, I will
to cast shadows long and lean
and brighten your windowsill

Magnus~
Sounds like Noah hid the plans from you too~ ?

It was, however, bright and beautiful here today~
I'll see if I can direct the rays your way~

Magnus darling heart this is simply exquisite, truly awesome when you write lines as beautiful as this I’m kneeling at the feet of the master. In humble supplication that some of your gift will drop and I may gather it up.

I shall wish upon all the stars
that shine the heavens ever bright.
From the cosmos and back to Mars,
in wait of this one guiding light.

Magnus, I am always in awe of the words you write and how you put them together in thought. Believe me friend, the sun is out, it's just temporarily behind the clouds. But the light is there for you.

Hugs, Marti
