Peaches & Crème …shared
~*~
On a warm summer afternoon,
she picked golden peaches,
softly squeezing with delight,
anticipating warm pie
on his lips tonight.
She placed the hot pie
on the ledge of her windowsill,
so the gentle breeze
would carry the sweet aroma
high in the hills.
She leisurely bathed
in water perfumed
with orange blossom’s
and honeysuckle blooms,
then dressed in her finest
flowing white chiffon
and hungrily waited
to share her golden peach pie.
As the moon slid into place
and the evening dew fell,
with a rose to her lips
and a gentle swing to her hips,
she answered
the eager knock on her door.
Darling…
peaches and crème?

Now that gives a whole new meaning to the word dessert.   Wonderfully soft is this verse that you bring to us tonight and subtle are the rhymes that add that little accent in just the right places.  Sort of like pinching the edges of a pie crust to get exactly 8 pinches per slice in perfect proportion.  Well done........I like when you write longer verses.  You bring some very wonderful images about you string your thoughts long.
