somebody's dungeon

The sea at dawn
with all it's sounds
the gulls cry out
the ocean pounds
the rocks stand steady
against the waves
mystery awaits
in ocean caves.

The life that fills
and lives within
in silence deep
beneath the din
as if muted by
the waters flow
such wondrous creatures
down below.

The sea and I
kindred spirits
the horizon line
draws me near it.
To see the end
of the expanse of blue
the ocean wonder
what a view.

Yes, well done!
I love the sea and you wrote of it well

This is very beautifully penned, Anne...

I can certainly see the allure of ocean sprays and diving seagulls in this simple piece! Very well done!

beautifully expressed and I have to agree
I feel the affinity to the sea
the ebb and flow ,inspires emotion
I often go walking by the ocean

Thank you all for your comments. I often said that even if I had to live in a tent, I'd be happy as long as it was near the sea. hmmmmmmm..now that I'm older, I'm not sure about the tent part. But I do so love the sea.

Love this, another beach person, same ocean, further down the shore line.  Same line on the horizon with ripple waves coming to the sand.
