somebody's dungeon

In the middle of the field
where the wild horses run
sits a Mimosa tree
feathering in the sun.

It's leaves mere wisps
swaying softly in the breeze
like a fan spreading out
this angel of the trees.

As I sit across the way
amongst the buttercups
watching the Mimosa
as the wind picks up,

I hear within the motion
a soft melody,
the wind whispered song
of the Mimosa tree.

describing a sound, a wind rustling,
the reaction of all others who thrive on nature's special effects...that's what this was.  I hope you don't mind:  i included a pic of what a mimosa tree looks like for the benefit of those who have never had that treat.

Oh and it is a lovely picture. Thank you for posting it. I didn't know what a Mimosa tree looked like until I moved south from NY. A lovely piece of art made especially for us by God. Again, thank you for the lovely picture.

In truth, what defines us is our poetry.
