Waves crash upon a rocky shore as a rainbow arches and dies. Gulls swarming , circling overhead in wait of a tasty surprise. Sand between the toes of a trek alone in thought, in time and space. Lost to the memory of one, sharing a hand,a smiling face. Walking now alone, once as two. Conversation lost to the breeze flowing endlessly through marsh reeds as tidal pools pour to the seas. Can the shattering heart again mend to feel a lover’s return? Can the walk of one be of two as waves rise to the foamy churn? Smell the sea in all it’s wonder from the brine of the watery deep.
