Night comes creeping up cracked streets,
Traffic hums
And on steel plates give dull beats
In double measure of thumps,
Over runs
The trucks and cars cross the bumps
Of old passages through night,
Whisking by
Beneath the neon starlight,
Not looking in vacant eyes
That would cry
If tears were left them to try
On crack streets.

Hey, PG... You've done a great job of portraying the realities of our dark city streets, m'friend... It is indeed a sad state - Nice write..
