In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-08-04 09:40 PM

I am here
wishing to ride
      your amber waves

Against    a silhouetted     moon canvas

Come into the solitude of
my night
tapping   the glass of splendor,
--
drawing   me into the landscape
of your dreams,

You      drifted softly ashore
footprints    of my heart --

Each night I dream in realms
of your gentle walk

Weave me softly,
   completely
in your fabric  --

Thief of my  night
stirring the wind

I will never be the same
wishing upon stars

   dreaming

The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket
I lean against the wind pretend I am weightless and in this moment I am happy

Yes Lauren....dreams...the weaving of the
magic of love within them....taking us
from each day into our night where once
again...once more...we live in our dreams
and smile as we sleep beneath a blanket of
stars....and more...

Beautiful write.....very nice...

first thought in my mind was teh song - one i love. i wasn't disappointed to find that the poem - though different and of a style its own - held true to the feeling i receive from the song. beautifully penned, as always, and i love the format... kind of dreamy and disjointed.

peace

Lauren -
I find myself wishing, with fingers
crossed and eyes shut tight ...
for dreams like yours, the one's that
fill each heart, each soul ... each night.

Lauren, you weave romance into everything you write in such a way that I've  seen few others capable of doing.  So very tenderly written.   *hugs*

You do pen in lace, I know I've said that before, but this

"Thief of my  night
stirring the wind

I will never be the same
wishing upon stars

   dreaming"

is so delicate and yet sure...Much enjoyed!
