Her gaze met mine and locked
in an embrace that never ends.
If only I had known her name
and the trouble it portends...
She was Luna Casanova
(though that meant nothing at the time).
Her long white gown and flowing hair
made her quite the find.
Oh, how that gaze had pierced me;
she searched deep inside
until she found each part of me
that I had sought to hide.
Then she pulled me into her
with that hypnotizing stare,
Little did I know then
that she planned to keep me there.
For when I left that night and walked
briskly down the street,
in every passerby I met,
it was her eyes I would meet.
Thus it began, her presence was
everywhere it seemed.
I saw her gaze through day and night,
at work and in my dreams.
Luna Casanova was
becoming my whole world
The image of her eyes stayed clear
as my life faded and blurred.
I could think of nothing else, it seemed
Yet, I was overjoyed.
My endless smile drew snide remark
from all that it annoyed.
I heard her voice when others
said she was not around
I laughed. "Look! There she is!" I cried,
rejoicing in her sound.
I quit my job and stayed at home
for my fixation did offend.
Phone calls went unanswered
so entranced was I with my friend.
Hour upon hour passed
until weeks turned into daze.
Still I saw her image,
and her penetrating gaze.
My world was changed eventually,
I was locked up in a cell.
For some unusual reason
docs said I wasn't doing well.
I think I can remember
others sometimes coming by.
I didn't care, it mattered naught
for she stayed by my side.
And so I sat bound by her spell
in my flowing gown of white.
My hair grew long until I was
a male mirror of her sight.
To this day I see her still
and rejoice though I am scorned
for an affliction beyond reason.
I hope that you are warned.
If you chance upon a lady
and long white gown you see,
Avoid her stare - lest you, too, fall
victim to Luna C.

And you've penned another delightful read.

Thought maybe I better elaborate. Sad, but delightful.
