Green of scale and orange of eye..
A dragon’s quest of evil fly.
The maid most fair for him to take
A quest most foul he doth partake.

Fear not my maid for thou art mine.
Fear not my beauty so divine.
Rest thy young head ‘gainst my lone breast
Fear not , I take thee as my quest.

The maw of the abyss shall not feel
thy flesh or taste, in jaws of steel.
My sword shall come to part the bone.
Fear not, fear not, thee aren’t alone.

As day does turn to darkest night
And dragon wings do take to flight.
My steed and I shall guard thee well
from the claws of a demon’s hell.

Whence the moon does rise to it’s peak
a dragon soars to search and seek
a maid most fair both far and near.
upon a night of crystal clear.

The walls are high of strongest stone
To keep from harm when once alone.
A dragon’s sight shall sound the cry
As archer’s bows let arrows fly.

And till the day shall come to light
I shall guard thee from dragon flight.
My sword and shield shall quench the fire
of the beast for a maid's desire.

I'd say that was a pretty good
request for a present,
and the unwrapping was delightful!

The maid has once again been saved
Such stalwart knight who did the deed
He cut a swarth through every knave
to reach her in her time of need.

Sandra,  I hope you enjoyed reading this as
much as I did writing it....I felt this was
very fitting for you....even if it was before
your birthday had arrived.....

Happy Birthday M'lady....
