Many times I have been broken
And have often been cast aside
A place of warmth and comfort
Where so many come to confide

I am often filled with love
Without me you cannot live
I can lift your spirits high
Of myself I have much to give

I am the symbol of the Valentine
And the cupid with his bow
Love is manufactured here
A place for love to bloom and grow

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Sue, a perfect write in ode to the 'heart.'
Perhaps you can re-post this around Valentines Day as well?!

Take care,
Melissa~

Awwww I wondered where cupid got to nice write

If your afraid of the dark, then why did you come?

a poet is but the cage
a protector of the heart
the first person to feel its beat
the last person tell of its desires

Love the 'I am a'  approach to this, Sue
and so aptly worded, too, amiga!
Write as if your soul depended on it!
