In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-08-03 07:47 PM

The earth is haunted by
     what is lost
to the surface, after rain
rises what's hidden  --

{I think of you
I wonder if you know --
     if you can hear my thoughts}

I write mostly at night
    near open  windows
the breeze of you caresses my soul
I am  seduced   by  your silent  rhymes,
your finger tip traces    unfold
my memory

The dance,  is spectacular;
yet,   sometimes --
inspires nothing

Midnight can hold   a host
of shadows; they seep in at dusk
and smolder in    darkness
long after I have called your name,
    {long after time stood still}

I know the difference
I cannot touch its ghostly face,
nor can I step through
the Van Gogh curtain
  of    that starry night
and bring your body back to
mirror my reflection

the butterfly keeper
whispers   from the meadow:

{I remember being there}

weeping   Octobers hue --
sometimes in moments of
stillness , I feel nothing is
more powerful
lines and shadows deepen,
again seduced by your silence

I wonder if you know
the earth is haunted

       after rain

The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket
I lean against the wind pretend I am weightless and in this moment I am happy

(smiles) Oh Lauren, I know how you feel, it is indeed haunted after a thunderstorm yet it is sooooooo beautiful too in its own unique way to watch the rain and the kaleidoscope sparkles in the drops and dew of the grass! (kiss on cheek) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Oh Lauren girl, this is poignant and I feel every word of your heart with this.  Hugs to you sweets.

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.

The whole poem is exceptional but the above lines are priceless treasures.  I truely enjoy taking a tour through thought on a vehicle of your poetry.  The view is so remarkable and so unique that one is left with so many new avenues of possibilities.  Very much enjoyed as always.

Lauren,
so brief, these lines
but so fresh with thought
vibrant and living poetry.

Lauren,

      Your writing is so incredibly breath taking.  It has been WAY to long since I've enjoyed your words.

Hugs to you.

Lauren, this is beautiful, so touching, I cannot begin to describe how this speaks to me, you are a true poet.

Take care,

I read this yesterday and couldnt find my words..nor breathe..Im not sure I am or will yet...but I had to touch this...run my fingers over the words on the screen...whisper it aloud as I inhaled its breathtaking sustain.  What you do with personification and imagery is more impressive with every write...what you write of leaves a trace on my heart every time.

Tell me we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
Ill be captivated, Ill hang from your lips
Instead of the heartache from above
