Ere I first laid eyes on you
your face was firmly etched
upon the wispy pages of my memory.

Before your voice first met my ears
bantering and playful,
it echoed in the ringing of my laughter.

Ere your lips first brushed on mine
their touch lingered in the air
like the soft scent of roses on the breeze.

Until the time we found each other
our souls both gently drifted
awaiting the reunion of our hearts.

This poem brings to mind the essence behind one of my favorite movies, "Somewhere In Time." Such romance, such depth of love and longing was held by the main characters, so much so that it spanned the century.

My favorite line in this piece, though the entire piece embodies the wonderful feel of which I speak, is:

upon the wispy pages of my memory

oooh, I just love that line!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

(smiles) Awwwwwww, this is soooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I love it, I believe He has a special someone planned for us all and deeply I believe we are always in love frokm the day we are born to that special person!
