~A Teardrop~

A teardrop
slips slowly down my face
a flicker of salty taste
curls my lip

In a teardrop
there is pain
there is heartbreak
and sorrow unspoken

There is grief
there is love
and ache of mourning

There is comfort
there is an echo
of angel's wings

in a teardrop
~

Strength, Courage And Love

For you dear Lyra
In my heart to heart way
I’ve requested angels
To be with you each day

For you my dear friend
I prayed to god above
To shine on you each day
Strength , courage and love

You will be in my thoughts
Heartfelt prayers I send
Hoping a speedy recovery
My special chipmunk friend

How well you describe the opulance of the tear...God's gift to us. The jewel of our souls that comes forth in all the most brilliant times in our lives.
Just heard the news. Here for you.

Oh sweet Lyra,
Tears can hold so many things..yes, even hope, and faith.
Faith can move mountains,
love unbreaks the shattered glass..
believe with all your heart, my friend,
and watch the shadows pass.
May it be the healing force that brings you strength and comfort.
My thoughts and prayers are with you,
and I'm here whenever you need a hand to hold.

Sweet friend, do not despair. Tell me did you paint that teardrop? This poem is so expressive of what you must be feeling right now. I know I am no expert, but I think there must be another doctor or place that will allow you in those trials you want.
Hugs, it will be ok.

Thanks so much, Sharon...I do let them flow when I need to, and fortunately, David has a wonderfully soft shoulder and warm wonderful arms.  He is my teddy bear and I am his pet chipmunk...
and of course sometimes I treat all of my dear poet friends at Piptalk to an occasional pity party tear fest.....and you have all been so warm and wonderful to me that I don't know where I would be if I had never met you.

Marie...thanks so much for your reply.
Did you know that women's tears contain oxytocin, one of the same chemicals found in human mother's milk.  It is also euphemistically called the "cuddle chemical" because it is supposedly the one which is responsible for maternal love.  Incidentally, it is also often used to speed up labor.....
Isn't that all ironic?

I'm glad that you found the poem to be comforting...and yes, tears also represent joy many times....
and, at the risk of sounding trite....
they also represent overtiredness, or allergic reactions.
