Sweet friend, do not despair. Tell me did you paint that teardrop? This poem is so expressive of what you must be feeling right now. Thanks so much, Sharon...I do let them flow when I need to, and fortunately, David has a wonderfully soft shoulder and warm wonderful arms. He is my teddy bear and I am his pet chipmunk... and of course sometimes I treat all of my dear poet friends at Piptalk to an occasional pity party tear fest.....and you have all been so warm and wonderful to me that I don't know where I would be if I had never met you.  ~ thankful chipmunk hugsLyra |

Marie...thanks so much for your reply. Did you know that women's tears contain oxytocin, one of the same chemicals found in human mother's milk. It is also euphemistically called the "cuddle chemical" because it is supposedly the one which is responsible for maternal love. Incidentally, it is also often used to speed up labor..... I didn't paint the teardrop, but ironically...after I wrote the poem, I went searching for an image to post with it...and I found this one which so perfectly describes the words.
