somebody's dungeon

While listening in the silence
I heard the earth speak
the language I understood,
though the voice was weak.

A cry of pain from nature
a plea for those who hear.
A question about the people
who no longer hold dear,

the world that God gave
the pleasures He imparted
I heard the earth speak
confused and broken hearted
.
I caressed her soft peaks
played in her waterfalls
when she cried, I heard
her endangered call.

I reached out with my senses
I ran along her shore
I soothed mother earth
until she cried no more.

I wept for her mysteries
some gone into oblivion
then I vowed to always hold dear
the world I'm living in.

Beautiful, just beautiful. I only wish more people would heed your cry.

I too, hear that call, Anne...
Don't you wish everyone did?
