I'm afraid of the promise
where it came from, where it's gone.
On what level of your love
was this promise made upon?
Closed for so long
wrapped up in your id
this trite little promise
was made rather quick.
So I wonder about the words
what they mean, what they say.
Is this promise then forever,
or just for today?

I think it's human nature to wonder if promises are real, and if they will be remembered.  This is a wonderful write, and brought some questions to mind..food for thought!!

Open the door and let your adventure begin!!!

another of the age old questions revisited...
the way you said it here is a wonderful testament to the fact that each mind is unique.
keep questioning, that's how we find answers
