Here's my version of Sven's challenge, using no E's.

-Vision thing-
"Look at this chart.
What mark do you find?"

"Nothing, doctor.
It's all black and gray."

"Um, try turning
this way, now."

"Sigh. It's obvious
I can't thrill to color."

"This isn't for color,
just for your sight."

"My my. I'm bad off,
I think."

"Do us a favor!
Actually look!"

"I am. What should I
do now?"

"No! You fool!
Look straight this way!"

"I'm turning that way.
For what? I don't know."

"That's it. It's obvious
that you lack sight."

"Only my mind, doctor.
Only my mind."

Nary an "E" to be seen. You made it look easy.

Glad you found this post to yr liking, Lyra. (wow, it's hard to maintain this no E thing)

Anyway, when I saw the challenge, that big E, I immediately thought of vision tests. So it came out from that.

Thanks for readin'.

Yr American spelling-system let you cheat on this one.

Gray is spelled with an E instead o' A by those crazy Brits and us crazy Canucks. For proof, just whip out yr copy of Cure's Faith and lookit the title of All Cats are Grey. So there.

Oh, and the manic edge this verges on reminds me maybe a bit too much of that first story we wrote together.

if only, if only it were so.

Loved your response to Sven's Challenge.  I can't write, talk or think clearly without my E's.  Guess it interferes with my vision, too.

Thanks, all! And Lori, I could've said "Black and pink," but that wouldn't have made much sense.

The Challenge met with no apparent "E's"
you did it well, in fact, with ease,
or so it seems, to me
Keep up the good work,
this was fun to read

cool job on this. . . it's hard to think without using that thing isn't it??

do this. . . think without using it for about an hour. . . I think that you'll find it's not so hard to do by doing this . . .
