I felt as tiny as a flaw
inside the sparkle of the world
glowing there, beneath your daring weave
your energy of conquer and divide

You parted life waters
like liquid butter
separating small girls into wishful drifters
and women into bouquets of burgundy wine

Somehow, I escaped
your fire breathing mentality
and wandered
straight down the middle
of your white dress alley
that valley where you kept
the dolls all singed up
melting them for fun

Those whispers
had a price

I became solid,
unafraid,
so able to see the underbelly
of your hard scaled exterior

Perhaps you mirrored something
I understood
I recognized
I could not
turn away

It was a slaying day

Either I took your dragon
for what it was worth
or turn tail and run

Seems like you stirred
quite a lady out of me

with those great big wings
and hurly-burly ways

What more could a woman want
than her own
personal
blaze

somebody
has to turn on the heat

It doesn’t matter
if the streets melt up in molten
I’d still be
as barefooted as the day
I walked across your mind,
stumbled on your heart,
and found that spot
called soft

(smiles) Yes!!! Whew, yep, love can always tame the heart of even the most supposedly wild dragon of all, for I believe any mammoth can always be tamed by the essence of true love! (kiss on cheek) This is beautifully sensual and sensitive, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Regina, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Regina

I think that you could tame the wild in anything, or make the tame, wild...depending on your whim.  You also write wonderful poetry...smile to you.

"separating small girls into wishful drifters"

Tonight?

I check off BOTH.

There are poets that have the gift of fishing---they throw out a line, and? just fish for the sure joy of "playing" the line--
tis a beauty to watch and a great joy to "READ"

reg? in poetry, you are "fly-fisher"!

Regina, when I see yours, I try to save them for the last ones I read for the night...because I seem to get tripped up and can't go on with a clear head to any others...seemingly stuck on the mystical way you write.

Total-ly awesome-ly simp-ly wonderful!

You found the soft spot in the dragon's heart, Reg...
only you, could write this so perfectly.
