Complacency

Cold marble was the happenstance,
That chipped profound at Laurels rested,
Neglected rose, romantic thorns
Addled bodies never tested,
Wish on wish to turn again
Rewind, restore the time invested
But too late, that last drawn breath,
Time sometimes beat, but never bested.

OLIAS.

Olias,
The clock is ticking, I could hear it in the words of your poem.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
