Curtain Of The Night

I listen to
the crickets paint
my mind bends
with no restraint
in this window
of the night
where forms change
out of light
then place my finger
to the pause
and hear the moon
and stars applause
candles light
within this spark
I grab at shadows
in the dark
I hear its sound
it does console
its very music
stirs my soul
the world stops now
quiet and still
colors change
shadows become real
and for one moment
out of time
I breathe this air
and call it mine

Helen - this is great - I will close my eyes and ponder the breaths I take of tonight's air - you write well!!!  Paul

love how this trickles down the page and down one's thoughts
