As I walk further
I move towards a point in the distance
I am, myself, a point in the distance
the point in the distance moves
so does the viewer
he is a point
and the viewer of the viewer
is a point,
in the distance
moving towards his objective.
backward motion.
look at the picture of the artist
painting the landscape
within the landscape is an artist
who is painting a landscape...
there is another artist, another landscape
forward motion.

backwards and forwards and  infinite dopplegangers all work for me, as does this poem.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
