They walked in deep and deeper yet
through trees of life that blocked the light
a path to nowhere
only tears
to make their melancholy plight

Tangled limbs and unsecured roots
hollowed and bent by the lifeless dark
feeding
upon their misfortunes
that remain faced within the bark

So mystified were they by such
that clouds obscured their very thoughts
no answers
to persistent why's
it felt like love was all for naught

Such emptiness within the Wood
where hearts are swallowed by its void
the struggle
is misunderstood
and their souls are slowly destroyed

So dim, yet rays of light shine through
and hope a dream they can't let go
fingertips touch
and hands are clasped
Forest can not conceal love's glow

These hearts shine with lost rays of hope
remembering times of before ...
trapped and bound
now able to cope
clearing a path distinct and sure

(from the forest of Sandra and Craig)

Damn good job on this!  Glad the forest cleared a bit there at the end.  Truly impressive write!
