Warm White Sand

The sun crept o’er the nights gray land
And bleached it to a warm white sand.
Touched by waves of lap and laugh
Each turns of wave an epigraph.

Sanctity of nudity
Rarity of chastity
Moments of eternal course
Whispers of forever’s force

And I am blessed this moments grace
This ennui that rules this place
With naught to do but write in rhyme
And wile away the fretted time.

I don’t know what has gifted me
This sail upon a white sand sea.
A place that wears a face benign
A place that suits my nature fine

But soon I’ll fly this genie’s air
Back once more to mundane fare.

if ennui has caused you to write of white sand and sea...then you are blessed

Seymour I’m too often away from home to get the chance to reply to my favourites as often as I’d like. You have to know you are one of my prime favourites, and this is superb writing. You can carry me off with you to the isle of wile. Walk with me in the stream of dream and we can, like Puff frolic in the autumn mists.

Truly one of your best I like this a lot. Tell mum the prettier one has supplanted her as the sultans favourite

Love and warm stuff

I really enjoyed this one, Sy...and I must confess that it made me a bit jealous too.

and oh, what I would not give
to slow this hectic pace, I live
to find amongst my hours, some time
to fret away and write some rhyme...

Now that I'm the lady of leisure with not much to do, can I come play in the sand and wile away the hours with you. (I'm not sure what my hubby will think of this idea! Oh my!!!   Perhaps I can pick up some superb poetry writing tips from you!

This is just magnificent. I enjoyed it so much.  Hugs Marti
