This is for Larry C. In response to his poem, posted a couple of nights ago called "Relativity of Age"
I am joining your pity party, Larry because I have them all the time also. So, we will now drink to our own pity, and here is the perfect drink.

~Tears With Lemon~

Tears on ice
with lemon wedges

to drink when feeling blue
a cocktail of sadness
salty sour
to drown your pain
a toast to pity

~clink~

~ tearful pity party hugs

Thanks Martie...
I was actually thinking about lemonade...
You know the old saying about "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade"...
Well I have become an expert in making lemonade...but I think Larry needs the tears right now.

Wow Lyra!
Seems I missed quite a bit with the changeover, while I was gone.
Just got back into PiP now...
and it looks like it may not be for long
with that line of storms coming through.
But, I'll have one of those drinks please
with lots of ice....it's darned hot out!
Now I have to go find Lary's post
to see what happened.
~Hugs to you my friend~

Lyra,
You never cease to amaze me! I love this. A keeper to put somewhere near the things that generate my pity parties these days. So fitting and so descriptive. I'll party with you anytime.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

(big huggsssssss) Oh Lyra, I couldn't tell if this was really a sad poem or just a playful one about crying because of the lemons sourness, sweet friend, either wayn this made me cry too! (sigh) Now you stay away from those lemons, girl! LOL! This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lyra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Lyra, I think you can count me in on this party. I don't think I've ever heard the saying about the lemonade before.

Lyra, this was great. At the moment, I'm not joining the party, but I'm keeping this cause one never knows! Pity sneaks up real quick some days!!!  I'll call you...
Hugs, Marti

Thanks Nancy,
We have been having thunderstorms on and off here since Saturday night.
At one point, there was a tornado heading straight for us...it was less than a mile from our house but it suddenly turned north and I don't think it ever touched down anywhere.
We heard the tornado sirens all night long on Saturday night...
How frightening.

Welcome to the pity party, Sue...
Pull up a piece of floor and a box of kleenex and we'll all drink tears together.
thanks for your reply.
