A foreign glow rubs off
the starkness of her world,
smudging the sharp edges into curves &
waking the cold store, her heart;
Padded cells divide splitting everything bare,
& fresh daybreak yawns, assemble tomorrows anticipation.

They’ll be days
when the sky is a fine skin of cloud
with no sign of rain.
No souring atmosphere in her sweetest instances
and the horizon will divide the ocean and sky;
where she’ll climb into the emotion
with the wide eyes of a child, expecting love.

The invention of solitude, salutes
a job well done, now unfastened,
dispelling the scent of helplessness
as diminutive doors shut, heavy doors open;
and all around the whispers of comfort call
to balance her horrors, within the crest of forgiveness.

Every scar a step
that mounts each breath she takes,
every memory an immeasurable sanctuary
with hidden keys and forever turning solutions;
Spirit trail the seclusion, becoming companionship
blazing the  air in the embrace of two.

Samantha,
I believe each of us is a sphere. And the only true scaring is done from the inside.
A good piece of writing. enjoyed.

Just last evening, I was pondering my aloneness, weighing it against loneliness. Now, I read this.

Cool!
