"This is dedicated to all the special friends of Passions who need a special hug of compassion"

Silver Lining
By: Noah Eaton
7/27/02

Sweet one, look up to the sky and find that silver lining
Stitched under the storm clouds where you hide
Make a halo with it in your fingertips
Make a tiara to wear upon your head
Hire the blacksmith with no face to hammer it to shape
Sweet child, you're always in good hands

And we all will rise only stronger than we were before
We all walk in a single-line baptized by grace once more
Fear not, sweet child
The light is ever so elusive
Hanging like a hammock in the morning view
Breaking apart like a million doves
The light has diamond eyes that never slumber

Walk upon your widows walk, touch a rainbow
Befriend this blanket of tranquility outside your patio
Dangle them from your fingers like shirts on clotheslines
Coddle the light gently like pigeon peas in the summer breeze
The things you buy and break don't matter anymore
It is all what you believe and create that's sweet

And we all will rise only stronger than we were before
We all walk in a single-line baptized by grace once more
Fear not, sweet child
The light is ever so elusive
Hanging like a hammock in the morning view
Breaking apart like a million doves
The light has diamond eyes that never slumber

Look at your reflection in the mirror
You swear that child deep inside of you is long-gone
Look deep into your own eyes
Take yourself by suprise and reconsider
Amen, the spirit of innocence is all inside of you
You were the giver, now pass it on and be the sender

And we all will rise only stronger than we were before
We all walk in a single-line baptized by grace once more
Fear not, sweet child
The light is ever so elusive
Hanging like a hammock in the morning view
Breaking apart like a million doves
The light has diamond eyes that never slumber
Never slumber...
Never slumber...

Noah,

Has anyone ever told you, YOU are a silver lining?
I wish nothing but love and happiness always for your kind heart.

Noah love, I don't need a hug but getting one just because is so sweet.

You are such a love and a silver lining for all of us.  Hugs back to you, Marti

When I was young my dad used to tease me be accusing my of "slumbering" in my bed. of course I didn't know what that meant but I figured it had to be something awful. He also used to tell me I had "garments". I thought that had to be some kind of disease or bugs or something. He was a very mean father. He's still very mean.

M'toe: You give so much with all your responses... and then you give more. *S* The poem is wonderful... but what is truly great is your heart. *S*
