Society tries to control the media
To do its bidding in isolated interests
Ignoring things that might disturb the status quo
To their beliefs surviving scrutiny
So bias is introduced as absolute truth
Instead of the viewer determining the value

Corporate America does not allow dissent within its ranks
Anyone rocking the ship under principals will suffer
The wrath of the corporate ladder
For the pecking order must be maintained
And no body above you can do any wrong

In a political system that befriends the money of influence
The common man’s pennies can not compute
With his stolen dreams in funds manipulated by CEO’s
Can one man’s view be heard from a media blinded
By the influence of the money of the advertiser

So our economy is decimated by those that choose to deceive
After billions are lost a media revives
Because of the furor of the common man
Politicians again deny anything saying it is news to them
News to them

That the freedom of the press has fallen asleep
In the editor’s offices that fear the truth
For loss of corporate funding
For loss of political influence
In a controlled decay of the spirit of our country
To challenge the system under manipulation

So let’s commit to understanding business ethics
Have pages of unsupervised editorials
Where it is illegal to apply corporate bribes
For what people have to say or question
Without fear of lawyers taking our liberties away

Let us communicate at all levels of our businesses
Let the questions of workers be heard
To be responded in written replies of respect
Let the lawyers sign of if they must
But do not put a muzzle on the truth

Let Congress fund the local media’s independence
Break up big business influences from kingdom’s afar
Let control our destinies at home
And not through AOL Times Warner dynasty

The sad case is if you submit this letter to a corporation
It will be lost in Human Relations
To any form of media
And it goes into an editor’s dead letter file
To a elected official
That shreds it in a compost of junk mail

So why did I write this
Because I am an American who dreams
Of a world that cares to listen
In the spirits of the common man
Having something to say unhindered

Thought: It is funny but I think this may be appreciated more overseas, at least at first until American start the question things more at ground level. Then the media might even say, “Good show”.

Thought: Now that many have been caught with their hands in the till, politicians have rushed in law, rules that they manipulated for years because some got too greedy. Our last president did not know what sex was and now we have one that does not know how to run a business. We will have to better educate our future leaders to be more imaginative or become as scary as just telling us the truth.

Thought: The more you try to change things the more resistance is met until the truth fades into lies again.

Thought: Why does a writer abuse themselves to a level they are not heard from again? Because words haunt the mind from the spirits that want to make changes. Yet they are buried alive in criticism and exiled to a graveyard of concern that only angels listen from.

Thought: People of influence hate writers of conscience for they fear the minds that they create. So they muzzle them by putting pressure on others vulnerable to their power in a chain that imprisons them with their own words ringing true to deaf ears.

I am sorry but I am mad and there is nothing in my life that has the power to make a difference, except putting things down to print and hope an angel listens.
