Heaven And Hell

When I walk through the shadows of lost sighs
I sometimes hear the wails of sobbing whys
The touch of you lingers in that dark place
Waiting to shadow my soul with your trace
But I’ll never leave the path of hope’s light
I won’t be going into sorrows night
There is no chance I’ll see you face once more
I’m tied to the future where truths not war

When I hear your name as I sometimes do
I wonder what I ever saw in you
Your touch still taints the very heart of me
Even now I feel your disloyalty
I thank my lucky stars that love found me
That the truth of love shines bright and clearly
Love cascades over me I am made new
And this I found when I was free of you

When I feel the touch of pained memory
I pull back feeling the sting burning me
I’ll never forget sorrow that bled tears
Or the pain of those heart shattering fears
I’m only glad that love came back for me
It lifted me into sweet ecstasy
If love’s light hadn’t bathed me in delight
I would’ve lost my soul to your dammed night

When I feel the night closing in on me
Or see the face of sorrow’s child clearly
I’m so glad that I broke the chains of you
That love showered me and made me brand new
The truth of true love strokes my soul with light
I am blessed by the power of love’s sight
Thank you for the lesson you taught me well
I learned the difference ‘tween heaven and hell

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

(smiles) Oh Marsha, this is wonderful, sweet friend, I love it, yes, and may your life always gleam with the heavens and may the hell remain towed away from your shoulders forever on! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marsha, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

The pain of learning such a lesson is evident in your words... for they hurt to read. *S* But you obviously know that inhaling the dust of broken dreams is smothering... and you now dream anew. *S* You deserve all the blessings you've found... This is an excellent write!

if there is a thin line between love and hate,
there exists a thinner line, at times,
between heaven and hell.
You said, oh so eloquently, what the distinction feels like.
Been there, too, Maaaasha, the torment that feasts
the hunger, unabated, never satisfied.

Stunningly written, a chunk of your heart
in verse, unabashedly told so others may know
truth
to avoid the pain
