                              Marry Me at Midnight

                              I will meet you
                              at 11:59
                              one moment short
                              of yesterday
                              one moment
                              to forever in time

                              Beneath the stars
                              in light of moon
                              by cool of night
                              come then, soon

                                  Greet me there beneath
                                  fresh bower
                                  bring with you
                                  one white flower,

                                  For pure is this,
                                  my true love
                                  quite sure is this,
                                  my true love

                                      Cathedral bell will
                                      ring the hour
                                      loud from it’s
                                      escarped high tower

                                      By sixth chime
                                      Please call me “mine”
                                      by twelfth bong
                                      to you, I belong

                                          As the day of yester
                                          meets the morn of new
                                          we marry then at midnight
and start the day in true

last forever, for all time?

OK I'll be there but I'm not sure I'll live up to all your expectations.....However, I'll really inspire a different type of thinking in you....Just me I guess????
You'll be forced to be pampered and spoiled and all I'll want is the same thing back equal shares of love!......DEAL????

Just kiddin....This is really is very nicely written.....

                                      Please call me “mine”

Have a nice wedding!

Lady

This is almost as romantic as the glass slipper and the pumpkin.  Beautifully done!

The format is interesting, with the successive indentations showing the short passage of time, as opposed to the linear aspect of the poem itself.  I would add some punctuation, and correct the inverted phrase in the penultimate stanza.  Nice idea for the poem!

Yours in peace,

Dean

Lady, I miss much when you are not here,
but when you are we are treated with such wonderful imagery as this.
I could here the bells chime and see the white flower he brought to her.  Very well done sweets!!

I caught a glimpse of this the other day at work but didn't have time to reply so I made a note to get back to this asap.  Here I was thinking maybe someone had gotten married.  Well, even if not this was simply lovely Sweetie.  So very glad that I did!
Treasure box bound this one is.

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.
